Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using JunkGems.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using JunkGems ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. JunkGems is operated by Kedlin Company ("we", "our", "us").
2. Description of Service
JunkGems is an AI-powered item identification and valuation tool designed for junk removal professionals. The App allows users to photograph items and receive estimated market valuations based on publicly available pricing data.
3. Valuation Disclaimer
Item valuations provided by JunkGems are estimates only. They are based on AI identification and publicly available market data (such as eBay sold listings) and should not be considered appraisals or guarantees of value. Actual resale prices may vary based on item condition, local market conditions, buyer demand, and other factors. JunkGems is not responsible for any financial decisions made based on our valuations.
4. Account Registration
To use JunkGems, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
5. Subscriptions and Payments
JunkGems offers free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings under Subscriptions
- Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policies
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems or bots to access the service
- Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is the property of Kedlin Company and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of photos and content you upload to JunkGems. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display it as necessary to provide the service. We will not sell your photos or use them for advertising without your explicit consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kedlin Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of JunkGems, including but not limited to:
- Financial losses based on AI valuations
- Loss of data or business interruption
- Errors or inaccuracies in item identification
10. Service Availability
We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App requires an internet connection and relies on third-party services (AI, pricing APIs) that may experience downtime. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of JunkGems after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
